This is a ONE (1) POUND box of Mixed Oyster Mushrooms, it will contain approximately equal amounts of each of the Oyster varieties that we are currently growing. Currently, that includes the two varieties listed below:
The King Blue Oyster variety is a very meaty mushroom with a tender stem. This mushroom pairs well with heavier proteins such as beef, lamb, pork, and venison. The King Blue Oyster makes for a great meat replacement for vegetarian dishes and creates an earthiness to pasta dishes.
The Golden Oyster mushroom has a unique fruity aroma similar to fresh-cut flowers and develops a nutty flavor similar to cashews when lightly sautéed. This beautiful Golden mushroom pairs well with roasted chicken and salmon, and it is commonly used as a side dish alongside other roasted vegetables.
