TxF “Special Recipe” with Charcoal – Pre-Poured Agar Plates (MEA)

If you want to get some really awesome pre-poured and sealed agar plates that can be used to grow out nearly any fungal species — then look no further. We have put together some packages of MEA plates that are all individually Para-film wrapped and totally sterile. In fact these are the very same plates that we use ourselves to grow all of our own cultures.

Technical Description: These plates contain a very special blend of nutrients and Malt Extract Agar (MEA) that is specially formulated for the growth of wood-loving gourmet mushroom species. Added into this mix is 6g of Ultra-fine Hardwood Carbon (per 1 L of Agar). These plates have been designed to contain the absolute most amazing formulation of carbon, protein and nutrient sources essential for the explosive growth of mushroom tissue cultures. Visually it is like looking into a pit of nothingness, the color is awesomely dark!
